Many Outlook users wonder how to add an HTML signature to their email. Unfortunately, Outlook does not offer a native option to insert HTML code directly into the signature editor, which can be a challenge for those wanting to use more advanced templates. In this guide, we will show you step by step how to add an HTML signature to Outlook using our mini application.
Adding an HTML signature in Outlook
STEP 1 - Create your signature
This step seems obvious, and we assume you already have your footer code or received it from our team.
STEP 2 - Add a new signature in Outlook settings
- Open Outlook.
- Go to File → Options → Mail.
- Click on Signatures in the "Create or edit signature for messages" section.
- Click New and name your signature.
- You can leave the signature content blank. This step is only about creating it (unfortunately, Outlook does not support direct HTML pasting this way, so we only need to create the file here)
STEP 3 - Download and open the HTML signature editing mini application
Our application allows you to quickly add an HTML signature to Outlook without the need to edit files manually. Just:
- Download the application magico-signature-editor.exe
- Open the application and select the HTML signature.
- If any code appears in the field below - you should clear the contents of that field.
- Paste your footer's HTML code.
- Click Save, and the application will automatically replace the file in the Outlook directory.
- After restarting Outlook, the new signature will be ready to use!
